Hudson Ferris has been retained by Hour Children, a leading provider of services to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women in New York State to execute a search for their Institutional Giving Manager.
Why this role? To stabilize and grow foundation, corporate, and government support, Hour Children needs a dedicated lead who owns relationships with program officers, CSR/employee engagement teams, churches, and public‑sector partners—translating program impact into fundable narratives and on‑time deliverables.
Title & Reporting
Title: Institutional Giving Manager
Reports to: Chief Development Officer
Collaborates with: Program/Impact, Finance, Communications
Core Responsibilities
Maintain a rolling 12–24‑month grant calendar (prospecting, LOIs, proposals, reports, site visits).
Own 20‑30 active institutional relationships; segment by renewal probability and growth potential.
Relationship Development
Build and steward relationships with foundation program officers, corporate giving & philanthropic engagement teams, and elected officials/government agency staff.
Schedule briefings, site visits, and track all touchpoints in CRM.
Proposal & Reporting
Draft compelling LOIs/proposals with clear outcomes, budgets, and alignment to Hour Children messaging.
Produce on‑time reports; monitor compliance for government contracts in collaboration with Finance and Programs.
Corporate Engagement
Package sponsorships, employee service days, and cause‑marketing moments in partnership with the CDO; track fulfillment and recognition.
Process Discipline
Refine and uphold grant SOPs; keep pipeline, deadlines, and status current in CRM.
Qualifications
4–6+ years in institutional fundraising with a track record of renewals and upgrades.
Demonstrated skill building and stewarding relationships across foundations, corporations, and government.
Excellent writing; budget literacy; CRM proficiency.
Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred.
Success Metrics (first 12 months)
Drive to targets in Foundations ($1.438M) and Corporate ($100k) in collaboration with the Senior Director.
Salary Range: $75,000 - 95,000
