Space and Intelligence Division We provide professional services to the U.S. Space Force, Combatant Commands, Intelligence Community, and NASA. Our work includes enterprise architectural assessments, systems engineering and integration, test, planning and execution, cost estimating and analysis, acquisition support, and cybersecurity.

Intelligence Programs Group (IPG) IPG, part of SPA’s Space and Intelligence Division, is a specialized provider of systems engineering and trusted advisory services to the Space and National Intelligence community. We handle highly technical support for agencies such as the National Geospatial‑Intelligence Agency, National Reconnaissance Office, and NASA.

Caledonia Program SPA has a near‑term need for experienced systems engineers to support an Intelligence Community customer. The role involves Systems Engineering and IT Service Strategy, Enterprise Planning and Management, and Enterprise Acquisition and Contract Management.

Responsibilities As a member of the Caledonia Program Systems Engineering team, you will develop and maintain assigned systems and service definition projects.

Conduct stakeholder needs and requirements definition, systems analysis, and system definition (requirements, architecture, service definition).

Perform system/service realization and deployment tasks.

Enable systems engineering through program/project planning, program/project assessments, decision‑management support, lifecycle readiness, risk, issue, opportunity, schedule, configuration management, and measurement.

Perform quality assurance/IT resiliency and business/mission analysis, architecture analysis, cost‑benefit analysis, schedule analysis, risk, issue or opportunity analysis, and technical measurement analysis.

Conduct COMM IT system or service capabilities assessments and alternatives analyses, including capability gap assessments, and deliver findings to the government.

Develop and deliver a COMM IT system or service technology roadmap with technology gap assessments and recommended insertion plans.

Interface with government and other stakeholders to define the project and iterate feedback on deliverables.

Review and comment on acquisition documents within COMM and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Support enterprise architecture deliverables and use data‑driven or model‑driven methods for analysis, assessment, and management decisions.

Required Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with an in‑scope polygraph (within the last 10 years) at time of application.

BS or MS in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.

8+ years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, including concept development, requirements engineering, systems architecture, system design and development, systems integration, test and evaluation, and transition operations and maintenance.

NRO or IC mission experience.

Familiarity with INCOSE’s System Engineering Lifecycle Readiness construct.

Familiarity with system requirements development and associated requirement tools (e.g., DOORS Next Gen).

Ability to excel as a member of a collaborative team through open communication, transparency, and flexibility.

Ability to relate professionally with senior government customers and colleagues.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to report to the designated work location in Chantilly, VA, full‑time as required.

Desired Qualifications

Certification(s) associated with MBSE and/or Digital Engineering.

Certifications related to functional responsibilities such as Certified Enterprise Architect (CEA) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).

Information Technology (IT) architecture domain experience in the Intelligence Community, DoD, or a federal agency, with exposure to DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF) and/or Joint Architecture Reference Model (JARM).

Knowledge and understanding of Intelligence Community IT Enterprise service offerings, architectures, and service adoption.
