DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).

The Impact You Will Have In This Role The Director leads the Observability Center of Excellence (COE) across multiple domains including SIFMU, RISK, ITP, RDS, and CDTS. This role is responsible for strategic oversight, operational excellence, and people management globally (JC, Dallas, India and UK). The Director ensures the reliability, scalability, and observability of enterprise applications and infrastructure, while driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Your Primary Responsibilities

Lead and manage onshore and offshore observability engineering teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.

Approve and oversee JIRA tickets, RITMs, and Change Requests to ensure timely and compliant execution.

Make architectural and design decisions for new observability solutions and enhancements.

Conduct regular 1:1s with team members to support career development, performance management, and engagement.

Provide weekly progress and people management updates to senior leadership.

Participate in incident management calls, weekend releases, system upgrades, and off‑hours support for Data Center Recovery and Disaster Recovery events.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define and manage the annual budget, and secure sponsorship for new initiatives and strategic investments.

Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years of related experience

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed For Success

Proven experience in leading enterprise‑scale observability or application support functions.

Strong understanding of ITSM processes, including change, incident, and request management.

Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams and manage complex technical programs.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision‑making skills.

Experience with budgeting, strategic planning, and executive reporting.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
