We are seeking a dedicated Quality Manager to join our team and help continue our growth. The ideal candidate plans, coordinates, and directs all quality functions while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100. The Quality Manager is responsible for the Quality department, completing inspections, required documents, reports, and quality management system(s) requirements, etc. The Quality manager will be an integral part of the management team, leading and assisting with regulatory, customer and internal needs. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procedures and processes to ensure adherence to customer expectations, company procedures and regulatory requirements while identifying hidden risks and/or nonconformity issues. Represent the company appropriately regarding customer complaints, SCARs, source inspection, audits, etc. Take ownership of Quality related KPI’s focusing on long term improvements. Serve as management representative to regularly assess the efficiency of the quality management system and recommend effective improvements to maintain certifications and compliance. Develop and facilitate implementation of corrective action protocols for detected deviations from company procedures or regulatory requirements. Work closely with customers on any non-conformance issues, corrective actions, and documentation. Execute and maintain annual compliance internal audit plan and lead external audits. Prepare reports for senior leadership and external organizations, as appropriate. Promote a culture of teamwork through compliance with all company and departmental policies, procedures, and processes in areas including, but not limited to, safety, harassment and discrimination, quality, and fiscal responsibility. Ability to perform all standard quality inspections throughout the production cycle. Direct and assist with FAI/R’s, PPAP’s, statistical studies etc. Identifies and coordinates training needs for current staff in conjunction with management. Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products. Works with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased material and parts for company use. Ensure all gages and inspection equipment are calibrated and maintained. Other duties may be required to support company and/or departmental initiatives to be assigned by the Senior Management. Qualifications and Skills
A minimum of (3) years of proven experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or QA Engineer in a machined parts environment. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 and other applicable regulatory guidelines. Ability to plan, write, review, and edit technical documents while ensuring they adhere to applicable standards and regulatory guidelines. High ethical standards, dependability, strategic thinking, and high initiative guide all work with a focus on safety, security, and quality in all tasks. Previous experience working with Medical, Aerospace and defense customers is highly desirable. Must be extremely organized with the ability to manage tasks across multiple projects under tight timelines. Strong knowledge of process mapping and collaborative document development. Proficient in identifying the proper measurement tool for the job and using it correctly, including but not limited to micrometers, plug gages, comparator, and thread gages. Must possess a thorough understanding of GD&T. Project Management and Leadership skills including managing projects, people, and resources. Can plan, present, execute, and track project and personnel progress. Is comfortable delegating when appropriate. Must track and control project costs and budgets as established. Must be a US Citizen or have authorization to work in the US. Physical Demands and Work Environment
Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, simple grasping with both hands, and reaching with hands and arms below shoulder level for short to moderate lengths of time. Perform work on a computer, inspection equipment for hours at a time, multiple times a day. Lifting up to 30 pounds. Work in areas with loud noise for short durations. Normal work environment has moderate noise. Seniority level
