Base pay range $20.40/hr - $30.60/hr
Key responsibilities
Maintain constant surveillance of telemetry monitors to ensure patient safety.
Promptly notify the Registered Nurse of any changes in a patient’s heart rhythm.
Document heart rhythms hourly and as changes occur.
Generate telemetry strips for nursing staff in accordance with policy and procedure.
Alert nursing staff immediately if telemetry signal is interrupted.
Conduct daily inventory to ensure adequate supply of transmitters and lead wires.
Handle confidential medical information with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must successfully complete telemetry on-the-job training and education. Competency must be achieved within 6–12 weeks of hire and be maintained thereafter.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
