Operate computer‑controlled engraving, printing, and laser‑etching equipment to create labels, tags, and nameplates while performing routine assembly work and component markings.
Responsibilities
Operate computer‑controlled engraving, printing, and laser‑etching equipment to create labels, nameplates, legend plates, and stainless tags according to drawings, CPRs, or files in the computer.
Mark parts with model/serial numbers and track inventory of stock tags and other required materials.
Perform a variety of small mechanical assembly operations to assemble all products manufactured in the small assembly area according to standardized methods.
Use assembly and test fixtures, hand and power tools; recognize defective parts and perform unit testing as directed.
Work with Production Control and Supervisor to establish priorities.
Create wire markers per EWD files and maintain computer files and systems for wire markers/numbers, special labels, MSDS labels, and cooler nameplates.
Load new files as received and print files on or before the scheduled release date.
Clean and maintain the laser engraver to ensure high quality and long machine life.
Observe company safety rules.
Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Job Specifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Experience:
One-year experience with the manufacturing of mechanical products; experience using personal computers to create documents, labels, etc.
Skills, Knowledge & Other Requirements:

Positive attitude toward the company, supervision, and fellow employees; demonstrates Ownership Mentality.
Initiative and ability to work independently.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office and ERP program.
Detail oriented; attention to detail; accuracy.
Excellent organization of both time and work materials.
Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Good spatial orientation, eye‑hand coordination and eyesight.
Ability to read blueprints, use various measuring devices, and follow Work Instructions.
Skill with safe operation of hand and power tools.
