At CI&T, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Architect to join our team in Brazil. You will contribute to an innovative project in a collaborative, innovating, transforming, and multicultural environment.

Position Overview As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and managing our organization’s data architecture. This vital role involves developing data models, defining data standards, and establishing best practices for data storage, integration, and retrieval. You will ensure that our data systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business requirements and industry best practices, playing a key part in our mission of driving innovation through data.

Key Responsibilities Data Architecture Design & Development

Design and implement enterprise-wide data architecture solutions that support business objectives.

Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for transactional and analytical systems.

Create and maintain data architecture blueprints, standards, and documentation.

Define data flow patterns and integration architectures across systems and platforms.

Technical Leadership

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineering and development teams.

Evaluate and recommend data technologies, tools, and platforms.

Lead proof-of-concept initiatives for new data technologies and approaches.

Establish coding standards and best practices for data development.

Data Platform & Infrastructure

Design scalable data lake, data warehouse, and data lakehouse architectures.

Architect cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.

Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization of data systems.

Implement data security measures and access control frameworks.

Data Integration & Management

Design ETL/ELT pipelines and real-time data streaming architectures.

Develop master data management (MDM) strategies and implementations.

Create data cataloging and metadata management frameworks.

Establish data lineage and impact analysis capabilities.

Data Governance Support

Collaborate with Data Governance teams to implement data quality standards.

Support data classification, retention, and privacy compliance initiatives.

Define and enforce data modeling standards and naming conventions.

Contribute to the development of data policies and procedures.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements.

Translate business needs into technical data solutions.

Work with application architects to ensure seamless data integration.

Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Master's degree in a relevant discipline preferred.

Experience

8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or database administration.

5+ years of hands‑on experience designing enterprise data solutions.

Proven experience with large‑scale data warehouse and data lake implementations.

Track record of successful data architecture projects in enterprise environments.

Technical Skills

Data Modeling: Expertise in dimensional modeling, Data Vault, 3NF, and conceptual modeling.

Databases: Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).

Cloud Platforms: Strong experience with cloud data services (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks).

Data Integration: Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, dbt) and data orchestration (Airflow, Prefect).

Big Data Technologies: Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem, Spark, Kafka, and distributed computing.

Programming: Proficiency in SQL; familiarity with Python, Scala, or Java.

Data Governance Tools: Experience with data catalogs, metadata management, and data quality tools.

Skills

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and lead cross‑functional initiatives.

Strong documentation and technical writing skills.

Project management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Industry certifications (CDMP, AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer).

Experience with real‑time data processing and event‑driven architectures.

Knowledge of machine learning pipelines and MLOps practices.

Experience with graph databases and knowledge graphs.

Familiarity with data mesh principles and federated data architectures.

Background in healthcare, finance, retail, or manufacturing industries.

Experience with API design and microservices architectures.
