Subcontracts Administrator
Subcontracts Administrator (SCA) to support a program based in Alice Springs, Australia.
Overview The Subcontracts Administrator will be responsible for all phases of subcontract administration, including qualifying suppliers, maintaining subcontract files, issuing requests for proposals, evaluating proposals, and managing subcontract agreements. The role requires complex problem‑solving, industry best‑practice knowledge, and process improvement skills.
Responsibilities
Knowledge and experience working with Government solicitations independently and as part of day‑to‑day work.
Prepare Requests for Proposals/Quotes (RFP/RFQ) packages.
Evaluate proposals and quotations to support procurement decisions.
Conduct comprehensive price analysis.
Lead negotiations of Subcontract Agreements, including Terms & Conditions and Pricing.
Prepare all required documentation for the Subcontract file to ensure CPSR compliance.
Issue procurement actions such as Purchase Orders, Subcontracts, and Modifications.
Monitor and maintain POs/Subcontracts within the purchasing system.
Perform peer reviews of procurement files.
Identify and mitigate contract risks.
Manage close‑out procedures efficiently.
Required Skills
1–5 years of relevant experience in purchasing/subcontracts.
B.S. or B.A. in Business Administration, Business Management, Contract Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Business Law.
Strong analytical reasoning skills and the ability to interpret policies and government regulations.
Effective communication and coordination with internal stakeholders and subcontractors.
Experience in mitigating contractual and procurement risks, ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and CPSR.
Strong negotiation skills with proven success in subcontract discussions.
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or Project).
Desired Skills
Highly organized and systematic task management.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Ability to collaborate across program teams, finance, legal, and compliance departments.
Experience with Deltek Costpoint.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Candidate Requirements Candidates must possess an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance or an Australian TS/PV clearance. A polygraph examination may be required as part of the US clearance process.

Compensation $76,600 – $95,700 (CO area only)
$80,300 – $100,300 (CA area only)
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s working location, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, clearance level, contract affordability, and internal parity.
Additional Compensation KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may include sign‑on bonus, relocation benefits, short‑term incentives, long‑term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
