We are seeking a dynamic Materials Manager to join our team at Regal Rexnord in Cambridge, MD.
In this critical leadership role, you will oversee all aspects of material planning, inventory control, and logistics to ensure smooth production flow and on‑time delivery. You'll drive efficiency, optimize costs, and lead a high‑performing team while collaborating across departments to support customer demand and business growth. Key Responsibilities Materials & Inventory Management
Oversee material planning and inventory control to ensure production readiness without overstocking.
Develop and implement inventory management systems to reduce waste and improve accuracy.
Monitor inventory levels, analyze trends, and take corrective actions to maintain optimal stock.
Inspect and verify incoming materials for quality and quantity compliance.
Logistics & Procurement
Manage inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Drive cost‑effective purchasing decisions and negotiate favorable supplier agreements.
Coordinate material flow to meet production schedules and customer demand.
Supplier & Cost Management
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; negotiate contracts and resolve performance issues.
Analyze market trends to identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
Planning & Forecasting
Lead Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) integration, aligning procurement timing, capacity planning, and lead times.
Own sales forecasting for CES consolidated business and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS), including roll‑outs and product obsolescence.
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead, mentor, and develop the materials management team to achieve operational goals.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Operations, and other departments to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
Professional certifications (CPIM, CSCP) preferred.
Minimum
5 years of experience
in materials management or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and materials management tools.
Strong analytical, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Proven leadership experience with a focus on team development and continuous improvement.
Salary Range:
$90,000 - $120,000
