Job Overview Responsible for all operations of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) tank depot, including the wash rack, maintenance and repair, steaming, transportation, and container storage. Maintains a strong commitment to fostering a team-oriented culture and sustaining open communication with all employees. Provides oversight for multiple shifts as operational demands require. Ensures all work is performed in an organized manner with the highest regard for safety and quality. The individual will be professional, personable, positive, and motivated to support the company’s overall goals.
Schedule
Works 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
On occasion, some additional work hours and weekends may be required.
Responsibilities and Duties
Leads the hiring, training, scheduling, and performance development of all team members while cultivating a supportive and growth-focused work environment.
Ensures compliant management, documentation, and disposal of all hazardous wastes in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Oversees the safe and efficient operation of the wastewater treatment system, ensuring adherence to all environmental and operational standards.
Maintains accurate control, tracking, and forecasting of equipment and supply inventories to support uninterrupted depot operations.
Administers and optimizes depot management software, including employee training and continuous process improvement.
Coordinates, monitors, and documents all employee training programs to maintain compliance and enhance workforce capability.
Executes existing operational policies and develops new policies and procedures to support organizational growth and regulatory compliance.
Manages the facility’s Profit and Loss Statement, leveraging financial data to identify opportunities and implementing strategies that improve overall profitability.
Partners with Business Development personnel and external contacts to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities that expand the depot’s service portfolio.
Specific Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated expertise in food-grade tank cleaning operations.
Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication capabilities.
Solid understanding of 5S, Kaizen, and Kanban methodologies and their practical application in industrial settings.
Strong working knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling and disposal protocols.
Comprehensive familiarity with relevant state and federal regulations, including OSHA standards pertaining to hazardous materials, personal protective equipment, material handling and storage, confined spaces, and related safety requirements.
Demonstrated understanding of program management requirements for OSHA’s Process Safety Management (PSM) standard and the EPA’s Risk Management Program (RMP), including implementation, execution, and ongoing compliance activities.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
5 years of related work experience in an industrial setting.
Certifications & Licenses Valid Driver’s License
Physical Requirements Possess close visual acuity and visual acuity to perform activities such as machine operations and mechanical or skilled trades tasks, ability to stand, walk, finger, feel, talk, hear, repetitive motion, and exert up to 20lbs of force occasionally and 10lbs frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Working Conditions Subject to activities inside and outside with noise above the ambient noise level, vibration, moving mechanical parts, fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation, wear a respirator, close quarters, and narrow aisles and passageways.
