Job Description This position will oversee the MPO's Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and the Locally Administered Projects Program (LAPP). The role serves as the MPO's TIP Administrator and coordinates with NCDOT to process TIP/STIP amendments and develop new TIPs. It also manages federally funded, locally administered transportation projects through planning, engineering, project selection, programming, project development, completion, and acceptance stages for the Capital Area MPO, under general supervision of a Deputy Director.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the MPO's Transportation Improvement Program, including quarterly amendments and air quality conformity processes.
Managing the LAPP program, including training, application, prioritization, and programming.
Assisting local government members with project management and related duties.
Tracking project implementation from development to completion.
