CPZ®
CPZ® Lab is a quantitative research and technology firm building AI-driven decision systems for modern finance. Based in New York, we focus on turning advanced modeling, probabilistic reasoning, and quantitative research into scalable, automated tools that analysts, quants, and investors can actually use.
Our flagship platform —
CPZ® AI Quant Studio
— blends agent-based modeling, generative AI, statistical learning, and automated research workflows to help professionals move faster, think deeper, and make better decisions with less noise.
We operate at the intersection of
AI research, financial engineering, and product design , and we're building a team that cares about rigor, creativity, and meaningful impact. CPZ® Lab is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Role Description We’re looking for an
AI Research Engineer
to help design and build the core intelligence behind the CPZ® AI product suite. This is a hands‑on role that blends research and engineering — ideal for someone who enjoys pushing technical boundaries while shipping real product.
Responsibilities
Developing and training next-generation AI models for quantitative reasoning
Building agent‑based, macroeconomic, and probabilistic simulation engines
Designing model architectures for financial forecasting, scenario testing, and strategy generation
Implementing NLP systems that can reason over market structure, reports, and financial data
Productionizing research into scalable modules for
CPZ AI Quant Studio
Collaborating with design + engineering to shape user experience and product direction
Qualifications
Strong background in Machine Learning, AI systems, or Quantitative Modeling
Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow)
Knowledge of NLP, LLMs, or multimodal models is a plus
Experience with simulation, agent‑based modeling, Bayesian methods, or macro modeling is highly valued
Proficiency in Python; familiarity with R, Julia, Rust, or C++ is a bonus
Comfort working across research and engineering
Advanced degree (Master’s/PhD) in CS, Engineering, Applied Math, Stats, or related fields preferred
Ability to work in a fast, experimental environment and ship quickly
Why CPZ Lab
Build cutting‑edge AI systems used by investors, analysts, and decision‑makers
Help shape the architecture of a new category:
AI‑native quant tooling
Global remote‑first team
High ownership, high learning velocity, zero corporate nonsense
If you want to work where
AI, quant, and product innovation
meet — this is the place.
