As an Operations Supervisor at Central Steel & Wire, you will be responsible for directing the efficient function of plant operations including but not limited to production equipment, shipping, receiving, receiving and inventory.
This position is 3rd shift. The hours for this position are Sunday - Thursday from 10:30pm to 7:00am.
Roles and Responsibilities
Understands production goals and implements actions necessary to meet objectives
Provides leadership to direct reports; coaches and counsels employees
Facilitates problem solving and team building activities
Participates in Performance Management Process (PMP)
Carries out and supports company policies, goals and objectives
Understands quality goals and implements actions necessary to meet goals and ISO 9000 standards
Review plant supply inventory and advise purchasing when levels are low
Ensure training is effectively carried out and oversee completion of training checklists
Communicates with other departments within the facility, as well as other locations
Understand customer requirements, participates, and advise on decisions regarding suitability of material and processing equipment
Provide direction and coaching in safe work practices; support safety goals
Review unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are carried out to eliminate workplace hazard
All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
Requirements
College Education preferred
A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years supervisory experience
Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
The successful candidate is expected to develop proficiency in SAP as part of their role. Prior experience is not required, but a demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and become proficient in SAP is essential
Salary: $64,855 - $97,283 annually. A starting salary higher than $64,855 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
