Responsibilities The Farmers Market Coordinator is responsible for leading all aspects of program development, implementation, compliance, and evaluation of the Forest Grove and Cornelius Farmers Markets. The Farmers Market Coordinator will promote a community space for family engagement and intercultural exchange and support for local small businesses that are vendors of the markets. To ensure this, successfully leading event planning and managing positive vendor and partner relationships are critical. This role will also actively participate in the Farmers Market digital marketing and outreach. The Farmers Market Coordinator will direct the day-to-day operational duties of seasonal staff and volunteers, ensuring they work as a team to steward high-quality, community-responsive programming focused on food access, small business support, and community engagement. The Farmers Market Coordinator reports to the Market Access Manager.
Plan, coordinate, and implement Farmers Market season activities from weekly set-up and logistics to executing special events.
Manage vendor relations including recruitment, orientation, and engagement.
Coordinate marketing and outreach efforts in print, digital, and social media channels.
Collaborate on specific program objectives to ensure food access and land access initiatives through strategic planning, compiling program evaluations, and reporting precise data.
Maintain active participation with key stakeholders and programs including Oregon Farmer Market Association, Portland Area Market Management, City of Forest Grove, and City of Conelius.

Required
A passionate commitment to the goals and mission of Adelante Mujeres including support for education, social justice, the environment, immigrant & BIPOC communities
Bilingual in Spanish/English
Associate's degree in agriculture, food systems, business administration, or strongly related field; OR four years of comparable experience
Two years' experience with farmers markets, general business management, microenterprises, or regenerative agriculture practices
Ability to work in the evenings and outdoors in varying weather conditions, standing on feet for hours at a time and walk various miles per market evening
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Zoom, Canva, and other virtual platforms
Experience with social media platforms, design, and communications
Ability to lift, push, carry, and pull up to 40 pounds unassisted
Additional Requirements
Complete Criminal Background Registry enrollment letter for facility number CC503161
Reliable transportation to arrive to different worksites around Washington County
Preferred
Two years' experience working with Latine, low income, immigrant, or diverse families
At least one year experience in employee or volunteer supervision
Budget management experience
Ability to problem solve independently
Experience with conflict resolution that incorporates patience and non-violent communication
Salary & Benefits
Salary range: $55K-$58K depending on qualifications.
Classification Full-time, salary
Telework: up to 2 days a week depending on the department's needs.
Benefits: health, vision, dental, short-term and long-term disability, 401K pension plan, life insurance, EAP, professional development opportunities, paid leave of absence, paid holidays (12.5 days annually), sick days (up to 9 days annually), vacation per year (up to 20 days years one through five, up to 25 days after five years), and sabbatical (1 month at 10 years of employment).
