Role Summary
The Technology & Operations (T&O) Enterprise PMO is standing up a centralized organization to govern portfolio operations across all T&O pillars.
Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)
is the system of record that provides a unified operating picture of all work in flight so executive leadership, including the Chief Technology Officer, can see progress versus plan.
The
Enterprise PMO Operations Manager
serves as the operational owner of
Business-As-Usual (BAU) execution within SPM , acting as the leader of roadmap management, governance operations, and the enterprise support queue. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, adoption, and operational success of SPM during a period of high transformation and corporate separation activity.
This is a
hands‑on, customer‑facing SPM administrative and operations role
supporting Program Managers, Directors, and Senior Directors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Portfolio & Roadmap Management - 30%
Create and manage SPM roadmaps to ensure alignment with business objectives
Drive visibility into progress versus plan while supporting technological innovation
Ensure roadmap accuracy to support executive‑level reporting and decision‑making
SPM Process & Governance Support - 60%
Own and manage the
SPM process and governance support queue
Ensure timely and accurate resolution of all SPM-related support requests
Proactively triage requests and determine proper resolution paths
Drive support requests to closure or hand‑off to break/fix queues as appropriate through ServiceNow
Serve as the front‑line operational steward of the SPM platform
Provide real‑time support to Program Managers and leadership teams
Walk Directors and Senior Directors through SPM via live screen sharing and system walkthroughs
Knowledge Management - 10%
Maintain the Enterprise PMO site in SharePoint
Ensure content remains current and relevant, including:
FAQs
Operational playbook
Knowledge articles
Training documentation
The Essentials
Expert knowledge of
SPM dashboard and roadmap configuration and management
Self‑starter mentality with proactive ownership of support requests
Strong customer‑facing soft skills that naturally put users at ease
Ability to balance approachability with decisiveness to drive support requests to proper resolution
Sound judgment in escalating or redirecting issues to appropriate break/fix teams
High emotional intelligence with the ability to operate confidently with senior leadership
Required Qualifications
12-18 months of hands‑on experience with ServiceNow SPM
Experience in an
administrative, operations, or governance‑focused role supporting SPM or Enterprise PMO tools
Strong understanding of
applied vs. direct tasks
within SPM
Prior experience supporting
Program Managers, Directors, and Senior Directors
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational and prioritization abilities in a fast‑paced environment
Certifications
SPM certification is NOT required . Organization is willing to
sponsor SPM certification after hire .
