Description and Requirements The ISG Software Procurement Specialist plays a key role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing software suppliers that support Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Group. In this role, you will lead end‑to‑end procurement activities—from RFQ development and contract negotiations to ongoing supplier management and audit‑ready documentation. You'll work closely with cross‑functional teams to understand software requirements, ensure cost competitiveness, and maintain accurate data across procurement systems. This position is ideal for someone who excels in a fast‑paced environment, is highly detail‑oriented, and enjoys driving process improvements across complex supplier ecosystems.

Leading end‑to‑end software sourcing initiatives, including developing RFQs, defining evaluation criteria, and managing the full RFQ process to identify best‑fit suppliers.

Driving software contract negotiations and guiding deals through final approval across all relevant functional stakeholders.

Creating and maintaining complete contract documentation, including source justifications, RFQ materials, approval records, and audit‑ready files.

Managing software cost structures using vendor price lists and ensuring accuracy across varying formats.

Producing internal and external audit‑ready tracking reports, payment reports, and periodic updates.

Analyzing complex datasets to identify gaps, inconsistencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Developing creative, scalable solutions to support "high‑touch" supplier requirements in collaboration with ISG process teams.

Providing regular status updates at cross‑functional meetings and reporting key updates to senior leadership.

Partnering with Lenovo cross‑functional teams to translate software needs and requirements into sourcing actions.

Managing ongoing relationships with a portfolio of software suppliers, including:

Issue and escalation handling

Cost and payment management

Supplier performance reviews

Vendor setup and relationship management

Part number creation and maintenance

Order placement and ensuring completion in Lenovo procurement systems

Ensuring a high degree of accuracy in all data, reporting, and documentation—data precision is critical to this role

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, or supply chain operations.

Experience managing software or technology suppliers, contracts, or licensing agreements.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with complex data, spot inconsistencies, and drive actionable insights.

Demonstrated ability to manage negotiations and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.

High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills.

Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Proficiency with Excel, procurement systems, and data management tools.

Experience with software procurement, enterprise licensing, or technology sourcing.

Familiarity with RFQ creation, contract lifecycle management, and compliance requirements.

Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Ariba, or similar procurement/ERP platforms.

Experience working in a large global organization or matrix environment.

Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced setting.

Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to develop process improvements.
