Job Summary / Purpose Act as the plant site(s) project contract specialist, managing projects from inception to close‑out. Responsibilities include quality control and oversight of projects (potentially 500+ contracts per year), determining applicability and timing of payments, performing contract manager accrual/fixed asset responsibilities, and providing analytical tracking as required by management.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

Ensure quality control and oversight of projects per contract terms, making determinations on scope and timing of large payments that may affect liquidated damages.

Verbal commit company to contractor for unplanned services, subject to written contractual commitment.

Plan and execute contract agreements for projects.

Confirm scope and terms with contractors at project start; monitor onsite milestones and job scope completion.

Respond to requests for project‑specific details such as work scope.

Perform contract manager accrual responsibilities according to company policies and SOX requirements.

Accrue all contract work meeting the set accrual threshold.

Resolve accrual issues and provide explanations regarding project‑specific spending.

Work with management on fixed‑asset reporting to ensure compliance.

Deliver accurate monthly reports to plant management and other stakeholders.

Execute quality‑control analysis to ensure accuracy and rationale.

Conduct full range of contract administration actions, including contract review, analysis, and determination of resolution strategies.

Ensure contract compliance for all financial transactions.

Resolve process failures affecting Entergy contracts and collaborate with Accounts Payable, Budget Coordinator, and Supply Chain.

Interact with procurement and financial personnel across the organization to understand issues and perform required analysis.

Minimum Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a business‑related field (or equivalent related work experience).

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum Experience

At least 4 years of relevant experience as a Contract Support Specialist.

Preferred: Familiarity with the power plant industry or other industrial settings with contractor projects and oversight experience.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to learn equipment terminology and operations principles related to a power generation facility.

Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and capacity to learn Entergy systems.

Proficiency in or ability to learn business unit billing systems and knowledge of rates, regulations, and payment options.

Ability to resolve process failures across multiple groups related to Entergy contracts.

Dependable, self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Good analytical skills.

Knowledge of and appreciation for Entergy's safe work practices.

Understanding of Entergy's procurement, financial regulations, and payment programs.

Understanding of business processes related to regulated companies.
