O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products while ensuring safety and efficiency.
Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
Keep vehicles clean, maintain daily vehicle inspections, and secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and monies collected at all times.
Collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns, completing driver return slips.
Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management and report maintenance needs, accidents, or damage immediately.
Ensure fuel tanks are filled and vehicles are locked and secured at the end of each day.
Clock in/out according to company policy. Other duties as assigned including customer service, sweeping, general stocking, merchandising, handling core returns, stocking orders, and occasional cashier or merchandising tasks when required.
Qualifications
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Adaptability to changing delivery situations.
Driving record meeting the company’s 14/18‑point system.
Legally required state driver’s license and compliance with company driving eligibility requirements.
Desired: familiarity with automotive parts and ability to operate other light store equipment.
