Responsibilities
Process Improvement and Efficiency – Analyze current operational processes and workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to increase efficiency.
Team Leadership and Development – Manage and supervise staff, motivate, train, evaluate performance, and foster a positive work environment.
Forecasting and Labor Management – Manage weekly and monthly labor planning, monitor expenses, allocate resources, and ensure the branch operates within forecasted labor hours/dollars/percentages to meet financial targets.
Procurement and Inventory Management – Ensure proper procurement from preferred vendors, manage inventory levels, collaborate with suppliers, facilitate equipment tracking, auditing, usage goals, and preventative maintenance.
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management – Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company safety standards, identify potential risks, implement strategies to mitigate them, conduct audits, and maintain documentation.
Reporting & Performance Metrics – Monitor KPIs, report operational progress and challenges to the Branch Manager daily, use data to inform decision‑making, and utilize company systems such as BrightPath, Power BI, Leadr, Field Management Systems, and Estimating (CPQ).
Customer Service & Jobsite Quality – Support excellent customer service, address operational issues impacting customer satisfaction, and implement processes to improve customer experience.
Project Management – Lead or contribute to operational projects to improve the business, coordinate teams to achieve branch growth, and ensure client work is delivered on time, within scope, and within forecast.
Resource Planning – Oversee allocation of resources (staffing, equipment, technology), forecast operational needs, and plan for future requirements to maintain capacity.
Collaboration & Communication – Serve as a bridge between branch departments and external partners, communicate operational excellence strategies, and ensure smooth operation across teams.
Qualifications
2‑ or 4‑year degree in landscape, business‑related field or equivalent experience in a similar service industry.
Minimum 7 years in construction or landscaping industry.
Minimum 2‑3 years of management experience within the landscape or service industry.
Qualified Applicator License (Pesticide or Fertilizer) preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, FSM, BrightPath, MFP/WAR calls).
Experience with mobile applications and software, including retrieving email, accessing apps, sharing pictures.
Ability to function successfully in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing work environment.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Ability to create and foster a team‑oriented environment.
