The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in process material and finished goods. They will be responsible for maintaining the appropriate records to comply with customer and WESCO Distributions documentation requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials

Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing by completing reports and logs; input data into quality database.

Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.

Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures

Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.

Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function.

Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol and checklists.

Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervise

WORKING ENVIRONMENT Warehouse - Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderately quiet. Generally well ventilated and well lighted. Warehouse employees may be exposed to all kinds of weather and may be required to wear protective clothing. Operates heavy equipment. Strict safety regulations may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Work is physically strenuous and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds. Work may require excessive bending or stooping.

Employee required to use hand tools.

Employee uses heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, etc.).

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Employee required to organize and coordinate schedules.

Employee required to analyze and interpret complex data.

Employee required to calibrate precise measurements.

Employee required to problem-solve.

Employee required to communicate with the public.

Computer Skills, High attention to detail

m-th 7am-5:30pm

Pay Details:

$17.00 per hour
