Reports To:

Service Manager

Key Responsibilities

Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical power systems including uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), power distribution units (PDU), static switches (STS), and related systems.

Ensure continuous, reliable operation of mission‑critical infrastructure for data centers, hospitals, telecommunications facilities, and other environments where uninterrupted power is essential.

Perform service tasks, identify technical problems, and conduct analysis through remote or on‑site activities in various service categories.

Contribute to customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer orders and expectations. Build and maintain good relationships with customers, understand their needs, and identify new sales opportunities.

Coordinate, prepare, and ensure all materials, parts, and equipment are available and meet quality standards for service activities.

Identify potential equipment failures proactively and request corrective actions. Troubleshoot equipment failures and make recommendations to prevent future issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 4+ years’ experience servicing critical power equipment, or Associate’s Degree in electrical technology with 6+ years’ experience, or High School Diploma/GED with equivalent 8 years of experience.

Electrical licenses or certifications (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, NICET, NFPA70E, OSHA 10/30).

Experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical power systems, including UPS, PDU, STS.

Advanced ability to write test plans, scopes of work, and reports detailing test results.

Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Prior work authorization permitting employment with ABB in the U.S.

Work model: Remote (New Jersey).

Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $65,100 – $104,160 annually (based on qualifications and experience).
