Position Overview
We are seeking a task-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to assist with a federally funded project focused on benefits eligibility processing. This role involves performing detailed administrative tasks to ensure accurate and timely handling of applications and related documentation. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and able to follow directions in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sort and process benefits redetermination packages in the mailroom.
Open files, scan documents into the data system, and ensure clarity and accuracy.
Attach cases to applications and populate required fields in the system.
Update records to maintain continuity of benefits for eligible individuals.
Assist with additional administrative procedures as needed.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Previous work experience with references who can speak to attendance and reliability.
Strong ability to follow directions and complete tasks accurately.
High school diploma or GED required; additional education preferred.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience in administrative support or mailroom operations.
Familiarity with benefits programs or government processes.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
