Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift

Responsibilities
Evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.
Establish production schedule on 2nd shift to meet customer and shipping deadlines.
Strive to increase productivity across all product lines.
Maintain and help enhance all aspects around Corporate and Plant Safety policies and programs.
Continue to improve leadership abilities and increase subordinates’ skills and capabilities.
Responsible for training, process improvements, KPI reporting, employee relations across production areas on the 2nd shift.
Participate in all cross‑functional team activities including Safety, Process Engineering, Quality, Scheduling, Maintenance, Union/Management, and Monthly Ops review.
Engage in and promote participation in Safety Awareness, VCPs, Process Mapping, Kaizens, and Recognition to lead a culture change with a winning attitude and greater acceptance around change.
Work with Production Manager to create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels.
Responsible for yearly vacation scheduling of Manufacturing Hourly employees.
Perform other duties or special projects as required or assigned.
Champion safety, health, and environmental issues.
Competencies and Qualifications
Manufacturing experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic math skills.
Highly motivated.
Strong time‑management and prioritization skills.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Computer‑literate with knowledge of Excel; BPCS experience a plus.
Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers.
Attention to detail.
Metrics‑driven.
