The Material Coordinator / Scheduler III is responsible for coordinating materials, services, and vendor support for industrial plant operations. This role focuses on purchase order creation, material master data management, vendor coordination, and cross‑functional support across multiple facilities. The position operates primarily onsite at a primary plant location and provides limited support to additional regional sites as needed.
This is a hands‑on operational role requiring strong SAP proficiency, industrial experience, and the ability to interface effectively with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Create and manage purchase orders for vendor services and materials, including chemicals and specialty services.
Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and material IDs for warehouse inventory.
Coordinate with vendors to source materials, gather quotes, schedule services, and resolve issues.
Serve as a key point of contact for plant personnel including engineers, chemists, planners, schedulers, operators, and craft teams.
Support material coordination activities across multiple regional plants as required.
Perform occasional plant walk‑downs to validate materials, support vendor activities, and assess equipment needs.
Maintain accurate documentation and data integrity within SAP and related systems.
