Job Details Job Title: Athletics Event Management Student Assistant

Shift: Varying Shifts

Responsibilities

Assist the full‑time event management staff member during athletic and special events, and in the office for any preparations necessary for events.

Support championship (NCAA & conference), invitational, and tournament events, as well as large special events in Ohio Stadium (concerts, rentals, etc.).

Prepare event notes; gather equipment needed (radios, signage, credentials).

Greet clients, visiting teams, officials, and event staff.

Assist with hospitality needs by working with catering & concessionaire partner.

Communicate with other departments as needed (Facility Operations, Marketing, Communications, AVS, Live Events, etc.).

Assist with event set‑up & tear‑down, including signage placement, movement of tables, chairs, tents, traffic equipment, and other event‑specific items.

Coordinate onsite athletic/special event staff such as redcoats, ushers, ball kids, officials, parking staff, etc.

Additional Information Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
