Position Description Ryder is opening a brand new warehouse in Apopka, FL and will be hiring permanent full‑time Warehouse Team Leaders.

Pay & Schedule

Hourly Pay: $21.95 per hour

Schedule: First Shift, Wednesday‑Saturday 5:00 am – 3:30 pm

Work Environment

Products being handled: Consumer Packaged Goods

Equipment: Stand‑up forklifts, electric pallet jack, high‑reach forklifts, cherry pickers

RF scanner (advanced) required

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

One year or more of powered industrial truck experience (preferred)

One year or more of prior team lead experience (preferred)

One year or more Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) (preferred)

One year or more of prior warehouse experience (preferred)

Valid forklift operator license, certified

RF scanner experience (advanced required)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Effective leadership skills

Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced dynamic environment

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent organizational skills

Proactive approach to responsibilities

Maintains composure under pressure

Uses health and safety methods

Bilingual (if applicable to Quebec)

Responsibilities

Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal operational efficiency.

Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.

Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.

Inspire and guide team members toward improved KPIs using appropriate leadership styles.

Assist in providing orientation and necessary tools for new employees.

Promote health and safety working methods within the warehouse.

Handle daily paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading.

Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations.

Perform other duties as assigned.
