– Studio Production Technology
The Senior Business Analyst Studio Production Technology is responsible for designing, implementing, & optimizing technology solutions and processes in support of NBCUniversal’s Film & Television production groups as part of the Studio Technology Solutions organization. This includes both software and hardware systems, as well as cloud-based production workflows. The role leverages strong subject matter expertise in production technologies across the SDLC to support projects for new technology solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of Film and TV production tools, processes and workflows. The Senior Business Analyst will leverage established NBCU processes, methodologies, and associated practices while carrying out their responsibilities and services for the studio production groups.
In addition to supporting the NBCU production business units, the business analyst will partner with technical operations, cyber, content security, and engineering teams to support enterprise initiatives for our upstream production technologies, workflows, and metadata as part of a rapidly evolving, connected company-wide media supply chain.
Base Pay Range $110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for regular production support activities, including issue analysis, documentation & prioritization, defect management, and testing.
Lead requirements and solution‑design discussions with production and technical stakeholders.
Create design specifications using use case format, workflows, wireframes, modeling, and related methods as needed.
Create & execute test scripts to support change requests and defect verification, including user acceptance testing support.
Create training documentation for new system enhancements and conduct user training sessions/demos to support knowledge transfer and user adoption of system updates.
Evaluate emerging technologies and production tools to identify opportunities for innovation, scalability, and modernization within the studio technology ecosystem.
Support day‑to‑day operational activities as needed across the landscape of applications utilized by our supported business groups.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting Studio / TV / Film platforms and operations.
Minimum of 5 years of experience developing software solutions to address business needs, applying software disciplines, with a strong understanding of software development.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in application production support, change management processes and have a structured approach to troubleshooting issues and bug fixes.
Expertise in production and post‑production technologies, workflows, and security protocols.
Skilled in designing and documenting functional specifications for complex calculations, financial reports, and business scenarios/modeling.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Good understanding of technology project management SDLC processes and methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile Scrum, and associated best practices.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to utilize technology to create innovative solutions.
Superior customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within the Media and Entertainment industry.
Experience working with TV/Film/Studio Productions.
Ability to work collaboratively with remote teams across varying time zones.
Creative and original thinker who is highly self‑motivated and has the ability to learn new technologies with a desire to have hands‑on experience and an understanding of the business value that it provides.
Knowledge of network security, content security, and compliance standards.
Ability to demonstrate initiative and work on assigned development tasks with minimal oversight, leveraging team members and resources as necessary.
Hybrid Work Arrangement This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in‑office requirements at any time.
