is part of the Development & Community Relations Department, which is committed to cultivating strong relationships with donors, community partners, and private institutions. Development & Major Gifts Officer
will have fundraising experience in an NFP/government subsidy space. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in related field, a plus 1–5 years of nonprofit development or fundraising experience, with focus on major gifts, capital campaigns, and/or planned giving Familiarity with donor management systems (e.g., Raiser's Edge), a plus Demonstrated success raising one million dollars+ annually Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to inspire major donors and interface with diverse audiences across educational, cultural, and demographic backgrounds Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively (fully remote, with regular travel/site visits 3 days a week within Central Florida, including some evening and weekend events) Knowledge of fundraising best practices and sector trend Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, Database platforms (e.g. Blackbaud), and reading/interpreting documents High professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail, with capability to respond appropriately to sensitive inquiries and concerns Ability to apply logical or scientific reasoning to a variety of intellectual and practical problems Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, a plus Rewards

Goal Setting & Strategic Planning: Partners with Chief Development Officer (CDO) to establish annual goals, objectives, and performance metrics for development activities in Central Florida Supports planning and implementation of capital campaigns, major gift initiatives, and planned giving strategies Donor Relations & Stewardship: Cultivates, stewards, and solicits major gifts from a portfolio of approximately 50–75 high-level donors in region Maintains ongoing donor communication through calls, meetings, and personalized stewardship touchpoints Develops individualized engagement strategies to encourage long-term donor commitment Performance Tracking & Reporting: Updates donor records in Raiser's Edge regularly and reports quarterly progress to leadership; works with CDO to evaluate fundraising performance and monitor progress toward established goals Collaboration with Regional Development Officers: Coordinates with development staff in other Florida regions (North and South Florida) to ensure cohesive donor engagement practices statewide; participates in bi-weekly team meetings to review progress and exchange best practices; creates customized donor proposals, benefits packages, and supporting materials in collaboration with development team; manages logistics for donor meetings, both in-person and virtual Prospect Identification & Qualification: Actively identifies and qualifies prospective major donors in partnership with staff, board members, and program leaders; develops strategies to engage individuals with capacity and interest in supporting organization’s priorities Site Visits & Tours: Organizes and leads site visits, tours, and meetings for donor prospects; documents donor insights/conducts timely follow-up to strengthen relationships Development Committee Engagement: Recruits and engages volunteers to serve on Central Florida development committee; works with committee members on cultivation strategies and fundraising initiatives Executive Engagement: Coordinates donor meetings for senior leadership and supports high-level relationship-building efforts; facilitates discovery and cultivation meetings as needed Community Engagement & Events: Assists with planning and executing regional fundraising and community events, including evening and weekend activities; participates in community outreach to raise awareness of organizational programs; serves as primary development contact for assigned charter schools and centers in Central Florida; supports donor tours, cultivation efforts, and community engagement on-site; participates in regular Development and Communications team meetings and other leadership gatherings; supports organizational fundraisers, third-party events, and other initiatives as needed How to Apply: Please contact Jaami Clement directly at JaamiC@iscjobs.com, 888.866.6625.
