Canonsburg, PA , within Legrand’s Data Power & Control Starline Team.
Position Description
The primary function of this role is to provide high‑level project management expertise, commercial leadership, and operational awareness to ensure customer projects in the High Power area are executed and delivered on time while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
The role partners with sales, operations, planning, and leadership to define and execute the project scope and deliver the project on time according to contractual obligations.
What Will You Do?
Lead and coordinate project communication, documentation, and execution of multiple projects.
Maintain high‑level project management expertise to deliver projects timely.
Provide leadership and action internally with factory ops team and application engineering to complete outstanding milestones and provide progress updates to customers.
Escalate to heads of department or responsible party managers if delivery milestones are not met.
Ensure detailed design layouts of busway systems, customer drawings, project tenders, and field inputs are in place for onward project management.
Utilize ERP systems in an operations environment and manage the manufacturing lifecycle, including planning and SIOP.
Work with Autocad, Revit, MS Project (Gantt chart) – a plus.
Compile product technical documentation (catalog sheets, FAQs, technical briefs, reports, installation instructions, O&M, etc.).
Attend project meetings and document meeting minutes to track progress and proactively initiate meetings to clear outstanding issues.
Submit payment progress claims when appropriate and support accounts receivable as needed.
Support management of the customer’s project through the entire project lifecycle.
Qualifications Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of project management leadership experience; preferably in the data‑center industry.
Experience coordinating, leading, and influencing multidisciplinary teams.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and MS Project (Gantt chart).
Proven familiarity with project management tools.
Strong communication skills for project management reports to customers and internally.
Prior experience with electrical power distribution products is a plus.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Superior project management, organizational, change‑management techniques, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Pro‑active and independent problem‑solving ability.
Aptitude for electrical product applications in power distribution systems.
Ability to communicate, articulate, persuade, and influence people at all levels, verbally, in writing, and by presentation.
Self‑reliant, flexible, independent and resourceful.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of electrical products and data‑center applications.
Results‑oriented, self‑motivated individual.
Ability to work remotely and as part of a team.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Willingness to travel as required.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
Ambient office environment; typical room temperatures, lighting, and standard office equipment.
Occasional exposure to manufacturing/construction areas, requiring personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hat, vests, boots, and hearing protection.
Regular standing, walking, and communication with others.
Ability to sit for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
