Position Summary Penske Logistics is looking for a Lead Inventory Clerk to join an excellent team servicing the nation’s largest grocery store chain at our Shippensburg, PA location. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude and want to excel in a warehouse environment.
Employees will work under the direction of the inventory control manager to maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring that system inventory in the WMS matches the physical inventory stored at the facility.

Schedule: Tuesday to Friday 12:00 pm–10:00 pm
Compensation: $21.50 base rate + $1.00 shift differential = $22.50 per hour.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring system count matches physical inventory
Resolve discrepancies at location and pallet level
Look for missing product in storage locations
Update WMS to match physical inventory through various methods
Research and document root cause of discrepancies
Ensure proper rotation of product and physically move as required
Analyze reports to identify rotation issues
Accurately receive inventory and audit inbound receipts, both physically and through receipt documentation
Work with checkers to ensure accurate receipt of inventory
Induct x‑dock inventory accurately
Data setup, validation, and accurate input of required data elements into WMS and other applications
Audit existing data for inaccuracies
Manage unsalable inventory to resolution
Document product recalls and segregate physically as required
Work with procurement on product expiration and product holds to final resolution
Record dump/donate and other product dispositions accurately
Ensure appropriate signage is accurately located in the distribution center
Process analysis and documentation
Assist with daily and weekly reports
Assist in development and implementation of special projects and tasks
Perform all other assigned tasks as necessary
Qualifications
Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
Read, write, understand and speak English
Ability to handle multiple tasks independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting
Knowledge of computers and ability to learn WMS and various internal applications
Must use handheld computers/scanners
Operate material‑handling equipment; occasionally moving product in warehouse
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, complete the Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required

The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg.
