We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to handle incoming calls from patients, focus on resolving phone calls and written communication, and assist in meeting business needs in the Revenue Cycle.
Essential Job Functions
Answer patient questions regarding statements
Post guarantor payments
Set up payment plans within policy guidelines
Research and resolve account issues identified by patients
Reach out to appropriate departments to resolve patient requests and connect patients with the financial counseling department for charity screening
Communicate patient balances
Meet collection goals set by the department while providing excellent customer service
Collaborate with other revenue cycle areas to resolve customer service issues
Perform other duties as assigned
Employment Qualifications
1-2 years experience in the healthcare industry
High School Diploma or GED
CRCR certification within 9 months of hire (sponsored by Ensemble Health Partners)
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience in physician and hospital operations
Experience in a call center
Compliance and provider relations knowledge
Strong customer service skills (preferred)
Critical thinking
Problem resolution
