Job Description Purpose and Scope: The PT Specialist III, Campus Service Center is responsible for providing guidance to new and returning students on enrollment/admissions processes. Assist with online application and enrollment and interpret course catalog and semester schedules.
Essential Job Functions
Provides a high level of admissions/enrollment‑related information and assistance to potential, new, and returning students. Includes assistance with enrollment/registration paperwork, sections selections, semester load, schedules, course transferability, and online registration assistance. Refers students to appropriate Specialists or Advisors for questions beyond the scope of this position.
Works the college’s information counter, phone center, and data entry center.
Provides information and referrals to students who are unable to enroll due to holds, pre‑requisites, or testing requirements.
Advises, interprets, and implements district/state policies regarding testing and placement.
Processes degree plan requests and enters data for evaluating incoming transcripts.
Performs data entry functions in iStar (PeopleSoft) and other systems.
Develops and distributes informational materials for new/prospective students.
Assists with information for the website, tracking benchmarks, and hiring and training of part‑time and student workers.
Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Eligible to be Designated School Official per USCIS guidelines.
Strong attention to detail.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to work on multiple projects.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Physical Abilities The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably. Walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, or driving a vehicle may be required. No special physical demands are needed.
Work Schedule and Conditions
Equipment: PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and general office equipment.
Interface with internal and external contacts as needed.
Work is performed in a climate‑controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Salary Hourly Pay Rate is $15.60
