We’re hiring a
Buyer III
to play a critical role in sourcing
moderately complex mechanical parts, assemblies, and services
that keep our manufacturing operations running efficiently.
This role partners closely with
Engineering, Supply Chain, and Suppliers
to drive cost, quality, and delivery excellence. If you enjoy
technical procurement , supplier negotiations, and working from
engineering drawings , this role is built for you. Strong background in
manufacturing procurement Experience sourcing
engineered & mechanical components Confident communicator who collaborates cross-functionally Data-driven negotiator with supplier management experience Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive problem-solver Required Qualifications
✅ Bachelor’s degree in
Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related technical field ✅
5–7+ years
of progressive purchasing or supply chain experience in manufacturing ✅ Proven experience sourcing
complex mechanical parts & assemblies ✅ Ability to read and interpret
2D / 3D CAD drawings ✅ Experience using
ERP / MRP systems
( QAD preferred ) ✅ Experience with
supplier audits, evaluations, and negotiations ✅ Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills What You’ll Be Doing
✔️ Procure
moderately complex mechanical parts, assemblies, and services
aligned with MRP demand ✔️ Lead
supplier negotiations
and sourcing strategies to optimize cost and performance ✔️ Collaborate with
Engineering
on alternative materials, components, and designs ✔️ Read and interpret
2D / 3D CAD drawings & technical specifications
for sourcing accuracy ✔️ Monitor and improve
supplier performance
(cost, quality, delivery) ✔️ Identify, qualify, and audit
new and existing suppliers ✔️ Resolve supplier issues and ensure continuity of supply ✔️ Provide guidance and support to
Buyer I / Buyer II
team members ✔️ Utilize
ERP / MRP systems
for purchasing, reporting, and supplier management Office and climate-controlled warehouse setting ✈️ Occasional domestic & international travel Ability to lift up to
25 lbs
and perform light physical activity as needed ✨ Strong collaboration with leadership & engineering teams ✨ Opportunity to mentor and influence purchasing strategy Senior level
