Position Title: Group Life Coordinator 2 Pool – Camp Riverbend Youth Transitional Facility

Responsibilities

Coaching, confronting, and correcting youth behavior as necessary.

Observing, evaluating, and recording youth behavior, attitude, and performance, including attendance and participation in treatment groups, recreational activities, vocational/educational programs, and community service projects.

Preparing Youth Incident Reports (YIRs) and documenting any unusual incidents or critical events.

Assigning, training, and supervising youth who perform various chores and jobs within the facility (maintenance, kitchen work, laundry, landscaping, and janitorial duties).

Supervising youth performing community‑based work‑crew activities when appropriate.

Monitoring youth offenders for potential health and safety risks, including suicide prevention.

Conducting security inspections and searches of the facility, grounds, and state vehicles.

Administering medication to youth (under indirect supervision of medical staff) and maintaining contact with medical staff to ensure appropriate medical care.

Providing secure transport of youth to appointments within the community as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED certificate, or equivalent education (required for both GLC1 and GLC2).

Six months full‑time experience observing, evaluating, developing, and monitoring human behavior and performance.

Certificate or associate degree from an accredited school in behavioral science, education, criminal justice, or related field.

Under-Fill GLC1 Qualifications

High school diploma, GED certificate, or equivalent education (required).

Special Qualifications

Age 21 or older.

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Physical Abilities Test (PAT)

Handle objects weighing 6‑165 lbs and move them up to 54 feet.

Kneel, bend, turn, stand, sit, reach, and crawl.

Perform 15 step‑ups on a 12‑inch platform.

Run or jog 100 yards.

Hold push‑up position for 50 seconds.

Hold a 6‑lb medicine ball at chest level with arms extended for 40 seconds.

Complete the above circuit twice with a 1‑minute break between sessions.

Acceptable vision (≥20/30 with or without correction) and peripheral vision of 160° from 20 feet.

Binaural hearing (aided or unaided) in the 500‑2000 Hz range and 20‑60 dB.
