Nutrition Services Associate - Elementary (4.5 hrs/day)

Role Overview
Comply with food service manager's instruction on production, preparation, and service of food.
Account for meals (reimbursement and à la carte sales).
Adhere to cleaning and sanitization standards for kitchen, serving area, cafeteria, and dishroom.
Maintain food safety in handling, preparation, storage, and service.
Process students through breakfast and lunch lines using computerized point of sale equipment.
Work efficiently and cooperate with other employees.
Attend job‑related training classes and workshops.
Interact with students positively and professionally.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school graduate or hold GED.
Basic arithmetic, reading, and writing skills.
Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds and stand on a hard surface for 3‑6 hours with bending, twisting, and repetitive motions.
Experience in institutional food service operations and/or school foodservice helpful.
Must complete Serve Safe course and pass exam with 70% accuracy or higher within 1 year of hire date.
Previous point‑of‑sale experience preferred.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time efficiently.
Demonstrated experience working with a culturally, ethnically, racially, and socioeconomically diverse school community preferred.
Perks & Compensation Nutrition Services Associate: $20.23 - $22.74 hourly (based on 2025‑26 contract).
