If you are offered a position that requires a background check you will be provided additional documentation to complete once an offer has been extended*.****Job Details:**We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Trader to join our dynamic commodity trading and risk management team at Tyson Foods. The Senior Trader will be responsible for executing complex trading strategies, managing commodity hedging programs, and providing strategic insights to optimize commodity trading and risk management performance. This role requires a deep understanding of agricultural and energy markets, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.**Key Responsibilities:*** **Market Analysis:** Conduct comprehensive analysis of commodity markets, including grains, oilseeds, energies, and other commodity markets. Utilize quantitative models and market fundamental and technical analysis to forecast market trends and identify trading opportunities.* **Trade Execution:** Execute trades across multiple commodities/markets with precision and efficiency. Monitor real-time market data and news to make swift trading decisions.* **Strategy Development:** Develop and implement sophisticated trading strategies to effectively manage Tyson’s inherent commodity risk. Continuously evaluate and refine strategies based on performance metrics and market conditions.* **Risk Management:** Monitor and manage risk exposure for assigned portfolios. Implement risk mitigation techniques and adhere to established risk management protocols to protect Tyson’s cost structure/capital and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.* **Hedge Program Management:** Lead a commodity risk management portfolio with total annual physical exposures of +$800M. Manage various hedging programs within the risk management portfolio, with responsibilities including program strategy, hedge execution, internal reporting, and Tyson Risk Policy compliance.* **Collaboration:** Work closely with other traders, analysts, and research teams to share market insights and coordinate trading activities. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior traders/analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance commodity trading and risk management environment.* **Reporting:** Prepare and present detailed reports on financial trading performance, risk management positions, commodity market trends, and strategic recommendations to senior management and key internal/external stakeholders. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of commodity trading and risk management activities.* **Regulatory Compliance:** Coordinate with Tyson’s mid-office to ensure all trading activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and adjust trading practices as necessary.**Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
