Responsibilities

Develop and execute digital and social media strategy aligned with FDP’s communications and electoral goals.

Manage FDP’s social media platforms, including content planning, publishing, and realtime rapid response.

Create and oversee highquality digital content, including graphics, shortform video, and written copy.

Maintain and manage a proactive social media content calendar while responding quickly to breaking news.

Draft messaging, scripts, and digital toolkits for the Party Chair, candidates, surrogates, and elected officials across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and YouTube.

Monitor media, social platforms, and digital trends; identify opportunities to amplify key moments and counter misinformation.

Analyze digital performance using platform analytics and reporting tools, and adjust strategy based on data and insights.

Coordinate digital campaigns, virtual events, and influencer partnerships to expand reach and engagement.

Collaborate crossdepartmentally with organizing, data, and leadership on integrated campaigns.

Work closely with the Digital Manager for Finance to ensure brand compliance.

Support additional special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

12 years of experience managing digital or social media strategy, preferably in political campaigns, advocacy organizations, or missiondriven nonprofits.

Demonstrated experience managing multiple social platforms and executing rapid response in a highpressure environment.

Strong writing and editing skills with an understanding of tone, message discipline, and audience targeting.

Experience with design and video tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar platforms.

Familiarity with social media analytics, reporting, and performance optimization.

Highly organized, detailoriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Deep understanding of Democratic politics and a passion for progressive causes.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by the news cycle.
