Overview
Prismecs is seeking an experienced
Shift Manager / BOP Specialist
to lead and oversee power plant operations during assigned shifts. This role ensures safe, reliable, and compliant plant performance, manages shift personnel, supports maintenance coordination, monitors operational systems, and ensures contracted power availability to customers. The Shift Manager works closely with the Operations Manager and Plant Management to support continuous improvement, operational excellence, and compliance with all procedures and regulations.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
Lead and supervise all O&M personnel during assigned shift.
Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all work activities.
Maintain operational continuity and support uninterrupted plant availability.
Plant Operations & Monitoring
Operate and monitor SCADA, HMI, OSI PI, Protection & Control Systems.
Track plant performance trends and proactively identify operational issues.
Conduct preventive inspections and ensure accurate shift reporting.
Maintain accurate CMMS entries, logs, and shift reports.
Safety, Compliance & Communication
Participate in Prismecs HSE programs and enforce all safety procedures.
Immediately report incidents, accidents, equipment failures, or environmental concerns.
Ensure compliance with operational procedures, Power Agreement requirements, and regulatory standards.
Communicate and coordinate with the Central Control Room (CCR).
Maintenance Coordination
Coordinate routine and corrective maintenance with the Maintenance Management team.
Manage safe release and return of equipment for maintenance activities.
Support Root Cause Analysis and provide operational data when required.
General Contributions
Identify improvement opportunities and support implementation efforts.
Maintain housekeeping standards and environmental compliance.
Support other plant functions as needed and perform any duties assigned by management.
Requirements Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Gas Turbine (GT) Power Generation Plants.
GT operations and basic troubleshooting experience.
Strong BOP (Balance of Plant) operations knowledge.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
Experience using ERP systems.
Basic HSE knowledge.
Knowledge of power plant procedures and operational standards.
English reading and writing proficiency.
Leadership and personnel management capability.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18001.
Experience in fast-paced plant operations or large utility environments.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret system trends.
