Position Information
Classification Title: Service/Maintenance Supervisor
FLSA: Non‑Exempt
FTE: 1.00
Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years experience working in a supervisory role, preferably in hotels.
Efficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook).
Position Summary
Serve as Manager on Duty.
Supervise front office employees to ensure efficient and high‑quality guest experience.
Support team members in handling guest requests and complaints to achieve a positive outcome.
Communicate with team members, so that employees on duty are fully aware of relevant matters related to guests and/or other departments.
Perform bucket checks, income auditing, and monitor room inventories.
Understand all hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, and other product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties and maximize revenue opportunities.
Monitor guest billing arrangements.
Knowledge of hotel’s fire, health, and safety regulations and act in accordance with these policies and procedures when required.
Assist Front Office Manager and Front Office Assistant Manager.
Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
Build strong relationships and cooperate with other hotel departments.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies: Outstanding customer service skills, professional communication skills, computer skills, detail oriented, time management and organizational skills.
Physical Demands: Stand for long periods of time while continuously working with/on computer.

Administrative work including auditing shift work, assisting the department manager with scheduling, ordering supplies and other administrative duties (15%).
Attend departmental meetings and mandatory trainings (10%).
