Customer Service Representative
Position Summary Austin Retina Associates is seeking a responsible, self‑motivated individual to join our call center team. This role will include making and changing appointments and other assigned duties.
Duties/Responsibilities
Answer on a fast paced environment, 200 - 300 calls per day
Schedule and change patient appointments using multiple software systems
Communicate with the scheduling team as needed to ensure calls are answered in a timely manner
Takes messages for Staff
Assess patient needs to prioritize and schedule accordingly, communicating with physician and/or their teams as needed
Communicate with physician teams as needed to further support scheduling needs
Perform administrative support as needed
Required Attributes
Fluent bilingual in Spanish
Experienced with multi‑line phone system
Medical scheduling in a fast paced environment
Position Details
Schedule approximately 8‑5pm during weekdays
Hourly pay, FLSA non‑exempt, eligible for overtime
Will train for approximately 6 weeks in office and then progress to remote. Satisfactory home working environment with company provided computer equipment
Physical Demands and Requirements Prolonged standing and walking, some sitting, talking and hearing both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle and feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 40 pounds on occasion. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes viewing multiple computer screens, close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Viewing images and operating computer devices constantly.
