Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
At least one year of experience in creation and maintenance of websites and/or web applications
Experience working with a Content Management System, such as WordPress, and donation plugins like GiveWP and a hosting provider like Pantheon
Exposure to MVC framework, such as Laravel
Position Summary Reporting to the Associate Director of Application Development, this position develops, implements, tests, documents, and supports a variety of new and existing Development & Alumni Relations web solutions. Examples include online donation pages, event registration pages, custom web applications, click‑to‑configure solutions, and CMS support. Tasks involve planning, implementation, testing, documentation, and help‑desk support.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML
Experience with WordPress and related CMS plugins
Experience with PHP and other web programming languages
Experience with MySQL or MS SQL databases
Experience with GitLab or similar version control systems
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with both technical and non‑technical audiences

Staff are expected to interact with fairness, compassion, and decency, promoting a stable, productive, and healthy work environment.
Adherence to CASE standards and industry standards related to fundraising reporting is required.
Physical Demands
Standard office environment; extended computer work
Use of electronic mail, telephone, face‑to‑face discussions, and paper correspondence
Effective written, spoken, and listening communication
Organize priorities; attention to detail; multitasking
Lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; walk, stand, stoop, lift, kneel, climb
Travel in and out of state; occasional nights and weekends
Duties and Responsibilities
Create and modify websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, CMS, PHP, MySQL, and similar technologies in adherence to UGA and DAR policies.
Collaborate with site administrators and user groups to develop, test, and deploy CMS configurations meeting functional and security requirements.
Lead efforts to keep CMS plugins updated, replace unsupported plugins, and provide input on replacements using hosting provider tools as necessary.
Promote UGA’s fundraising efforts via Blackbaud CRM and BBIS, creating and maintaining online donation forms, event registration pages, and related tasks.
Troubleshoot problems with existing applications and train clients or stakeholders on their use.
Research and explore advances in related technology and best practices.
