General Summary:
Responsible to technically support organization in the promotion of a product group. Works with staff and management on product training, technical support, new product review and recommendations on services. What You Will Do (Essential Job Functions)
Product Strategy & Planning
Plans strategy for sales of, and provides technical knowledge/training for, assigned products and/or product groups Assists management in development of long/short-term business plan and preparing sales forecasts and plans Introduction of new technologies Identifies key competitors/competitive products and provides feedback to Account Managers and Sales Management Technical Support & Training
Responsible for providing product information support on assigned product groups Provides training at all levels for product expertise Responsible for field applications, system designs and customer product developments/enhancements Works with technical representatives, distributors, marketing and product teams adapting products to customer needs Customer & Sales Support
Documents and provides detailed customer proposals Searches and develops new customer targets to achieve sales growth objectives Makes joint sales calls with Account Managers Responsible for customer concern and non-conforming material processes Supplier & Inventory Management
Promotes positive Supplier relationships Works with Supplier Management Team in development of supplier and distributor contracts Responsible for making inventory recommendations Manages special supplier programs and rebate selling levels Sales Promotion & Marketing
Creates and drives sales promotions Assists Retail Service group with strategies and programs Reporting & Process Improvement
Provides timely reports summarizing findings on a given product or project Enhances profit through continuous productivity, throughput, customer service, quality and cost reduction Responsible for process improvement recommendations Supplemental Job Functions
Assists with Marketing material creation Participates in and coordinates product line specific trade shows and open house activities Champions and presents at Exotic University as assigned Participates in corporate on-boarding and orientation programs Performs other duties as assigned or requested Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Bachelor’s degree in related area of responsibility (may substitute three (3) years of sales-related work experience) Three (3) years of experience in sales-related role– technical and industry specific preferred Previous experience working on a computer–CRM experience preferred Ability to be available for 24-hour customer support Valid driver's license Ability to maintain a vehicle that seats four adults comfortably as well as meeting Exotic standards for cleanliness, safety and insurance compliance Working Conditions
Normal business office and industrial environment with regular (up to 100% of work time) exposure to noise, dust, office equipment, machinery, equipment and supplies Exotic Automation & Supply maintains a drug-free workplace, including testing for marijuana.
