Lead Financial Technology Consultant / SME at The JM Longbridge Group
Financial Services Firm is hiring for a Product Specialist / Risk SME to join their team in New York. This is a client-facing role requiring strong expertise within Margining, Risk and Derivatives. This is a permanent role offering a salary of $100K - $150K + Benefits with hybrid working.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain expertise in margin methodologies, including bespoke Prime Brokerage models, FINRA Regulatory margin, SIMM, and Cleared/ETD frameworks.
Define requirements for new or enhanced margin models and ensure effective implementation.
Support cross-product netting and financing analysis across Equities and Fixed Income PB structures.
Collaborate with client service teams to validate results, resolve discrepancies, and communicate model changes.
Engage with clients and industry working groups to maintain up-to-date SME knowledge and influence product direction.
Develop and test model prototypes using Excel or Python to support implementation.
Partner with Sales and Pre-Sales teams to provide expert input during client engagements and demonstrations.
Skills and Experience:
4-8+ years in Prime Brokerage / Derivatives / Counterparty Risk / Margin / Collateral Management.
Strong knowledge of Cleared OTC, ETD, and Bilateral derivatives across asset classes.
Experience with PB financing calculations and margin methodologies across Equities and Fixed Income.
Understanding of post-trade software or fintech ecosystems.
