2nd Shift, Monday - Friday / 3:30 PM - 12:30 AM ($22/hr)

Job Purpose:
The position will report to the Warehouse Supervisor and will work effectively and efficiently in a warehouse environment to verify all materials received and schedule shipping and freight operations, including developing a working knowledge of warehouse organization and creating proper and detailed shipping documentation. The role will lead and ensure customer satisfaction by accepting and scheduling customer orders.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Oversee the check in of all drivers.
Prepare bills of lading; check items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers.
Sort, count, package, label, insure, unpackage, and/or log inventory which is shipped or received.
Print all pertinent paperwork for shipping.
Make certain that shipping clerks coordinate with the dock and the drivers what door they will be loading product in.
Coordinate with certain carriers that have drop trailers informing them of trailer number, seal number and paperwork procedure.
Insure all paperwork is properly signed by pick up driver.
Close loads in the system.
Trace lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiate proof of delivery documents.
Coordinate with Customer Service Teams regarding special paperwork for certain orders such as international, customers that prefer special BOL’s etc. Enter customer orders and scan/index documents as required.
Clearly understand goals, policies, and procedures of RJW.
Communicate customer problems, leads, and inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain confidentiality of company information.
Recommend improvements and implement approved improvements.
Update reports as required by operations manager and COO.
Other tasks as assigned by manager.
Additional Responsibilities:
Positive telephone personality.
Capable of being trained to be ‘Phone Assertive’.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Organizational and scheduling skills.
Ability to lead and train staff.
Ability to multi-task.
Computer abilities including word processing, spreadsheet, and ability to learn application software used by RJW.
Qualifications:
Basic office clerical skills.
Must be able to type at least 40 wpm.
2 years of clerical experience.
Basic transportation, logistics and shipping experience.
Education And/or Experience Required:
High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred.
