Opportunity
The Early Childhood Program Specialist (ECPS) is a teaching assistant role in a compliant, developmentally appropriate early childhood center. Under the direction of the lead teacher, you will support daily routines, instructional activities, health, safety, and family engagement in a child‑centered environment. Responsibilities
Provide active and continuous supervision of children according to the center’s supervision plan. Assist with classroom routines and facilitate play to meet developmental goals. Support health and nutrition activities: meal distribution, health checks, toileting, cleaning, and first aid as directed. Participate in classroom planning, team meetings, and data collection (e.g., GOLD assessment). Collaborate with parents, family members, and community partners to promote children’s learning and well‑being. Assist with administrative tasks such as attendance, meal records, and developmental screenings. Minimum Qualifications
High school completion, GED, or written education plan to complete either. One year of experience in an early learning setting. Fluent in English. OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with ECE credits. Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or Washington Initial Certificate in Early Childhood Education. Experience working with children with Individualized Family Service Plans or Individualized Education Programs. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Salary and Benefits
Base salary: Range 30, Step E, $3,028 per month with periodic increments to $3,558 per month; start may be adjusted for education and experience. Eligible for overtime pay under FLSA; subject to grant funding. Union‑represented position under collective bargaining agreement. Full benefits package: retirement, medical, dental, vision, and other state‑mandated plans. Application Process
