Shop Service Technician – Heavy Equipment
Join HOLT CAT, the largest Caterpillar dealership in the United States, as a full‑time Shop Service Technician in Georgetown, TX. The position is 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 7 am–4 pm) at 2101 Airport Rd, Georgetown, TX 78628.
Job Description This position is responsible for providing high‑quality repair service on heavy equipment in a shop environment, responding to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner, and ensuring maximum value for work performed.
Responsibilities
Perform complex repairs on pumps, hydraulics, engines, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment such as dozers, backhoes, front‑end loaders, excavators, etc.
Work efficiently and with high energy level while maintaining productivity.
Operate with limited supervision.
Maintain personal tools.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of field or shop service tech experience with heavy equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex shop cases.
Self‑motivated, productive, and able to work independently.
Must own required tools.
