Job Description
Perform venous access procedures within RN scope of licensure, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
Administer and monitor infusion therapy treatments, adjusting care plans based on patient responses.
Assess patients’ conditions to determine appropriate venous access methods and address complications.
Develop and implement individualized care plans for venous access and infusion therapy.
Provide patient education on venous access and infusion therapy to ensure compliance.
Monitor performance of nursing staff, provide feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans.
Foster professional growth by identifying training needs, organizing educational programs, and mentoring staff.
Resolve conflicts among staff promptly using mediation techniques.
Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data and implementing strategies.
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Mentor and precept new staff through hands-on training and feedback.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policies.
Qualification Requirements
Associate’s of Nursing (Required)
Bachelor’s of Nursing
Acute/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCNS) – EV Accredited Issuing Body
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) – RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
