Consultant II – ABS Group
Join ABS Group as a Consultant II. When you become part of our team, you will work on the successful delivery of projects for clients as a member of project teams within a market program.
Job Description The consultant will support the project manager with initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing projects. They will maintain relationships with clients and key decision makers to help identify follow‑on business opportunities and gather customer intelligence.
What You Will Do
Work on project tasks with other team members under the supervision of a task lead or project manager to ensure quality services are delivered on schedule and within budget.
Assist the project manager with defining and sequencing project tasks, estimating task duration and developing a project schedule as part of a project management plan.
Review project management plans to understand scope, schedule and assigned work authorisation.
Plan and schedule client meetings.
Complete multiple assignments, meet agreed deadlines, and adjust to changing client demands.
Perform quality assurance on project deliverables.
Develop relationships with existing customers to facilitate new business development.
Meet new and existing clients to listen to their needs.
Communicate client needs to project managers and supervisors.
Identify new business opportunities with existing customers for current and/or additional services.
Participate in marketing activities, conference presentations and technical white papers.
Participate in proposal development, including writing proposals and estimating level of effort.
Learn and be conversant with ABS Group products and services.
Review published reports and news about existing and potential new clients to identify customer intelligence.
Network to meet new potential clients.
What You Will Need Education and Experience
At least two years of professional experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of ABS Group products and services.
Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
Research and analytical skills.
Data gathering and analysis.
Critical thinking.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of ABS health, safety, quality and environmental management systems.
Salary $65k - $81k
Reporting Relationships Could report to the Project Manager, Program Manager or a more senior level Consultant.
