Job Description Summary The Future of Flight Performance Subsection Manager will lead the engine performance team responsible for activities related to the aero‑thermal modeling, development, and demonstration of new commercial engine technologies in support of CFM RISE programs. The person in this role will partner closely with Engine Systems, Preliminary Design, Aero, Heat Transfer, Engine Operability, Engine Controls, and Engine Transient Analysis teams to drive program execution and technical excellence on the assigned Future of Flight demonstration programs.

Roles and Responsibilities

Drive a culture of safety within the organization

Provide leadership and technical mentoring for all engine performance modeling and test activities on the assigned programs

Drive technical training and facilitate career growth of employees within team

Work cross functionally to ensure performance targets and program milestones are met on assigned programs

Provide leadership and technical guidance to team members

Promote strong team engagement within the Integrated Performance & Operability organization

Foster a culture of inclusion

Lead hiring activities within organization

Leverage FLIGHT DECK operating rhythms to continuously improve the capability, efficiency, and responsiveness of the Engine Performance & Operability organization

Work collaboratively across product lines and disciplines

Lead seamless “one team” collaboration with performance engineers across all global sites, including the US and Mexico

Ensure a culture of compliance

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university

At least 8 years in an engineering position with at least 5 years in engine performance or related discipline

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Desired Characteristics

Master’s Degree in engineering or related field

Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams

Experience integrating with performance adjacent aero‑thermal disciplines

Strong program management skills

Strong business acumen and customer mindset
