This role supports the Global Supply Chain team, managing contracts, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
Responsibilities
Advocate for the company's best interests in contract negotiations and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Obtain positive business results by working cross‑functionally and providing specialized guidance on contract terms and conditions.
Provide guidance on terms and conditions submittal, approval, and re‑use processes.
Review, negotiate, and provide guidance on subcontract terms and conditions.
Interpret regulations and contract language to ensure compliance.
Identify, develop, and maintain processes and resources for Business Area Agreements.
Support risk mitigation and issue resolution related to contract terms and conditions.
Interface with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Legal experience or education, such as a JD.
Experience in contract negotiations for commercial/non‑commercial agreements.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Experience working for a large defense contractor.
Ability to analyze, resolve, and negotiate supplier exceptions to terms and conditions.
Knowledge of Federal procurement law and the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).
Experience with Master License Agreements and DFARS sourcing requirements and compliance.
Experience within a buying or compliance role with detailed awareness of buyer needs.
Experience in data analytics and/or process improvement.
Sound judgment and ability to navigate complex situations with diplomacy.
Team player with strong collaboration skills with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, resolve complex issues, develop negotiation strategies, and provide creative solutions.
Self‑directed, setting priorities, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision, and influencing internal and external business partners or customers.
